STÖHR ARMATUREN has many years of experience in the development and manufacture of products for nuclear plants.
Being mostly equipped with solenoid magnetic drives, our valves are used to control cooling processes in the outer cooling circuits of the reactor, and are therefore designed primarily for warm media temperatures.
High demands for documentation
In addition to the high demands for the operational safety of nuclear plants, we produce our valves in accordance with manufacturer-specific material approvals, to correspond to the requested certificates. The extensive documentation offered includes pre-audit documentation with a VPU cover sheet, version management of drawings, and customer-specific release procedures.
Our clients: direct customers and end customers
Both OEMs for nuclear power plants and plant operators are our customers. We deliver initial equipment during the construction phase, supply replacement items at regular intervals for retrofit, and provide individual spare parts throughout the operating cycles of the plant.
Options for adaptation to a wide variety of operating conditions
In addition to solenoid-operated shut-off valves, which are often equipped with a manual override function, we also manufacture non-return valves, filters and sight glasses – all of which are based on OEM-specific approvals and meet the high requirements of the underlying guidelines. As an approved supplier of components to the nuclear industry, STÖHR ARMATUREN holds both ISO9001: 2015 and the industry-specific KTA1401 certification.
